This course provides a base of knowledge for educators to deepen content area learning through literacy concepts. With several strategies and video examples, participants will investigate foundational concepts and extend their learning to plan and implement multimodal, standards-based lessons and activities in writing, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Take literacy and learning in the content area to the next level with reflection, resources, and classroom application.

The course, Literacy in the Content Areas I, has been approved with conditions for 3 credits until December 31, 2024 with the assigned Maryland CPD number of 23-68-10C.
