This course will guide you in figuring out why anxiety causes that “fight or flight” feeling, and how you can use your new knowledge to support students. Explore the subtle, and not so subtle, signs of anxiety and how they present in the classroom. Acknowledge mental illness stigma, the influence of social media, and learn strategies for making the lives of students more manageable. By understanding anxiety's impact, you'll be better equipped to foster a more inclusive and empathetic educational experience for all.
Educators will have 12 months, from the date of registration, to complete the course. Upon completion, you will receive a Teaching Channel Letter of Completion for 10 clock hours (university graduate credit/transcript is not available). This online course is priced at $99 (no additional discounts are available).
This course is also offered in a concise 3-hour format (PD117_24: Learning about Students Who Have Anxiety). The content is similar across formats, so we recommend selecting either the 10-hour or 3-hour version to best suit your needs.
