Learning English can be challenging!  This course explores proven Multilingual Learner (MLL) listening and speaking strategies designed to make instruction more effective and efficient. Educators will explore the essential role listening and speaking play in English language development for multilingual learners (MLLs). Participants will deepen their understanding of language acquisition stages, the importance of comprehensible input, and how to intentionally support oral language growth across academic contexts. Educators will leave the course equipped with strategies, tools, and activities they can immediately apply to promote language confidence, listening comprehension, and academic discourse. Whether you're new to working with MLLs or looking to refine your approach, you’ll uncover the many ways students gradually gain proficiency in their new language, and watch them reach, fly, and soar!
