This course begins with that powerful belief and invites you to examine how math identity is shaped and why it matters for student engagement, confidence, and achievement.  Through meaningful reflection, research-based insights, and hands-on application, you’ll explore how past experiences, social-emotional learning, play, and culturally responsive teaching all influence the way learners experience math. Along the way, you’ll gain practical, classroom-ready strategies you can use right away to build math environments where students feel included, supported, confident, and excited to learn.
