This one-hour course provides participants with an introduction to Special Education Services and Supports in the Learning Environment through the lens of Core Competency Area 3. Participants will explore the foundational principles of IDEA, inclusive practices, accommodations, and the essential role support staff play in meeting students’ instructional, behavioral, social, safety, and personal care needs. The course also highlights practical strategies for supporting student participation, independence, and success within general education and community settings.
