Artificial intelligence (AI) can be a valuable teaching assistant that saves time, guides personalized instruction, improves accessibility, and allows educators to better meet the needs of diverse learners. This course will inspire special educators to explore AI in practical ways to support their students. Participants will learn how AI can streamline the development process for individualized education programs (IEPs), differentiated lessons, behavior intervention plans (BIPs), assistive technology supports, and progress monitoring practices. Along the way, participants will explore best practices in AI ethics, student data privacy, and recognizing AI biases. Educators will walk away with practical strategies, ready-to-use resources, and greater confidence in using AI to enhance their Special Education practice.
