Substitute teachers are needed now more than ever! This ten-hour professional development course aims to provide the information, resources, and skills substitute teachers need to answer the call. Filled with downloadable tools, the course also includes information on the role and responsibilities of a substitute teacher. Participants will learn mindsets like professionalism, flexibility, and understanding which are key to substitute success. Course participants will learn how to prepare for subbing, gather strategies for classroom management and relationship building, and discover methods for facilitating engaging lessons. Additionally, course takers will identify ways to document and reflect on the day for the teacher who was absent and for their own continuous improvement. This course includes 22 substitute teacher tools and templates for download and personalization. 

Educators will have 12 months, from the date of registration, to complete the course. Upon completion, you will receive a Teaching Channel Letter of Completion for 10 clock hours (university graduate credit/transcript is not available).
