The Power of Engaging Families as Partners | Teaching Channel

Professional Development is intended to fulfill requirements for license renewal and recertification when the student has obtained proper prior approval. Please verify with your state licensing board that Teaching Channel professional development will meet your needs.

Family engagement is one of the main predictors of student success and improves the educational experience of both students and families. In this course, educators will learn how to encourage and nurture family-school partnerships and best practices for working with families who are culturally diverse. Discover how technology makes communication more effective and efficient, best practices for school events and family-teacher conferences, and the positive impact connection brings to all.

Educators will have 12 months, from the date of registration, to complete the course. Upon completion, you will receive a Teaching Channel Letter of Completion for 3 clock hours (university graduate credit/transcript is not available). This online course is priced at $25 (no additional discounts are available).

This course is also offered in an expanded 10-hour format (PD130_24: Family Engagement and Communication for Student Success). The content is similar across formats, so we recommend selecting either the 10-hour or 3-hour version to best suit your needs.
