Google’s NotebookLM offers educators something different from a general AI chatbot: the ability to work with AI using sources they select and trust. This source-grounded approach makes NotebookLM an especially exciting tool for educators who want to save time, strengthen instruction, and create meaningful supports for students while keeping accuracy, relevance, and professional judgment at the center. In this course, participants will explore how NotebookLM, a tool designed to help users interact with and learn from their own trusted sources, can support educator workflow and student learning. They will investigate what makes the tool unique, build a source-based notebook connected to their own professional context, and use NotebookLM Studio tools to create practical resources such as slide decks, videos, infographics, interactive podcasts, and other supports for planning and learning. By the end of the course, participants will have a deeper understanding of source-grounded AI and a collection of practical NotebookLM resources they can use in their educational setting.
