Canva for Education can help teachers and students create polished, engaging materials, but effective design starts with instructional purpose. This course goes beyond a basic tool tutorial by helping educators think critically about when, why, and how to use Canva to support learning. You’ll begin by exploring Canva’s possibilities through the lens of visual design, accessibility, and Universal Design for Learning. Then, you’ll create resources that enhance instruction and interaction, and explore how Canva’s “magic” AI features can support educator workflow. Finally, you’ll shift the focus to students by designing Canva-based activities and projects that help learners collaborate, practice skills, and demonstrate understanding in creative ways. By the end of the course, you’ll be prepared to use Canva with greater confidence and intention, creating materials and learning experiences that are clear, purposeful, and connected to your students’ needs.
