Co-Teaching: Partners in Practice (Monticello) | Teaching Channel

This course is offered in partnership with Monticello Public Schools and registration is limited to educators within the district.

To meet contract guidelines and receive credit for the course, participants must attend two in-person sessions held within the Monticello school district. 

• Synchronous Session 1 (course kick-off) will take place from 4 PM - 6 PM on Wednesday, May 6 in the Monticello School Board Room.
• Synchronous Session 2 (course wrap-up) will take place from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 10 in the Monticello School Board Room.

Co-teaching has increasingly become more popular as education moves to more collaborative models of instruction. This course will help you to reflect on what you can bring to a co-teaching framework, and to consider aspects of co-teaching that are essential for you (and your partner!) to succeed in that environment. You’ll learn the different co-teaching models, how to co-teach with a specialist, and how to apply specific strategies to foster student learning in a collaborative environment.
