This one-hour course explores Core Competency Area 5: Instructional Supports and Strategies and the role paraprofessionals play in supporting student learning. Participants will examine practical strategies such as strength-based learning, accommodations, life skills support, and proximity and fading techniques that promote engagement, independence, and inclusion. The course also highlights how paraprofessionals can effectively reinforce instruction and support diverse learners alongside the instructional team.
