Assessing creativity can feel tricky – but it doesn’t have to be! This course provides practical tools to design meaningful assessments in the arts that go beyond grades to capture student growth, creativity, and voice. You’ll learn how to use formative and summative strategies, peer and self-assessment, and feedback techniques that build student confidence while informing your instruction. Along the way, you’ll also create ready-to-use tools; rubrics, peer feedback protocols, and community-facing artifacts, that will strengthen your practice so you can advocate for the importance of arts education in your school.
