This course equips educators with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively scaffold content and facilitate the development of writing skills for students who are English Language Learners (ELL) (this term is in the process of changing to Multilingual Learners (MLL) and you will see us use both ELL and MLL interchangeably). Educators will explore a variety of strategies and best practices to create a supportive learning environment that fosters language acquisition and enhances writing proficiency. Through a combination of foundations, and practical applications, participants will gain a deep understanding of how to address the unique needs of ELL/MLL students in the writing process.
