Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), part of the neurodiversity spectrum, comes with both strengths and challenges for students in school. This course provides educators with foundational knowledge and practical strategies to effectively support students with ADHD. Educators will explore the concept of neurodiversity, and examine the impact of executive function and social-emotional learning on students with ADHD; learn about the impact of inclusive learning environments and implement behavior and self-regulation interventions; adopt a strengths-based approach that empowers students with ADHD to academic, social, and social-emotional accomplishment. Educators will leave this course loaded with strategies and interventions to provide strengths-based and optimal learning environments for their students with ADHD.

This course cannot be taken if you have already taken 5027 due to similar content.
