Mental Health Resources for School Staff | Teaching Channel

Professional Development is intended to fulfill requirements for license renewal and recertification when the student has obtained proper prior approval. Please verify with your state licensing board that Teaching Channel professional development will meet your needs.

With current statistics stating that 1 in 5 youth and young adults live with a mental illness, odds are you have many students in your classroom managing their mental health. Fortunately, there are tools and resources that educators can integrate into their classroom practices to support mental health! In this PD experience, define and identify signs and symptoms of mental health disorders, explore tools and resources to help students develop awareness and coping skills around mental health, and evaluate your preparedness for supporting suicidal students.

Educators will have 12 months, from the date of registration, to complete the course. Upon completion, you will receive a Teaching Channel Letter of Completion for 10 clock hours (university graduate credit/transcript is not available).
