This course focuses on the science behind reading comprehension and the instructional practices that support it. You’ll learn specific strategies to target critical areas such as background knowledge, vocabulary, language structures, verbal reasoning, and understanding text structures, all vital elements in helping students become proficient and confident readers.

Educators will have 12 months, from the date of registration, to complete the course. Upon completion, you will receive a Teaching Channel Letter of Completion for 3 clock hours (university graduate credit/transcript is not available).
